We work alongside schools and organisations to understand how learning happens before designing curricula, resources and learning experiences that are thoughtful, inclusive and responsive to the people, communities and contexts they are intended to serve.

Design Detectives
Helping children become curious, creative problem solvers.
Design Detectives is our creative Global Learning programme that helps children explore the world's biggest questions through stories, investigation and design.Rather than giving children answers, we encourage them to notice more, ask thoughtful questions and work together to imagine solutions to real-world challenges. Inspired by design thinking, sustainability and Global Learning, every adventure helps children build creativity, empathy and confidence while discovering that even small ideas can make a positive difference.
Whether they're exploring biodiversity in their local park, designing ways to help street dogs stay cool in Nepal or learning from nature's own inventions, every investigation begins with curiosity.

Meet our Learning Designer
Learning has taken Alina from classrooms in rural India to boardrooms in global organisations.
For more than twenty years, Alina has worked across education, international development and organisational learning, helping people, organisations and communities learn, adapt and create meaningful change.
Her work has taken her from supporting teachers in remote rural communities in India to designing and facilitating professional learning for Fortune 500 organisations, universities, charities and international partners, including the British Council and UNDP.
Working across cultures and contexts has shaped an approach that combines curiosity, participation and systems thinking to create learning that has lasting impact.
Specialising in Global Learning, Alina brings together education, human centred design, systems thinking and participatory practice to design learning experiences that are thoughtful, inclusive and grounded in real world challenges. Her work spans teacher development, curriculum design, digital learning, organisational learning and social impact.
Through In The Margins, Alina helps organisations rethink how learning happens, creating experiences that build confidence, encourage curiosity and empower people to make meaningful change.
Alina co-authored a chapter with Professor Douglas Bourn, Emeritus Professor of Development Education at the UCL Institute of Education and former Director of the Development Education Research Centre, in the British Council publication Developing Effective Learning in Nepal.
